The Fürspan was used in the middle ages to close the neckline of the cote or shirt. It is a replica of a medieval fibula of the time 1350-1450 and is therefore suitable for the representation of a medieval character in Larp or on a medieval market.
This round brooch has writings on front and back. Front: "iasper: melchior: balthazar" (Kaspar, Melchior, Baltasar). Back: "ihesus nazaren[us] rex iudeoru[m]" (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews)
