Through a oily or waxy layer which is applied to this leather it gets a patina after a short time which makes every article made of oiled leather unique. Greasy leather has a pull-up effect, i.e. the leather lightens up at this point when it moves, such as kinking, folding, scratching or stretching. This creates a marbled colour structure which can, however, be reversed by re-greasing.
The leathers are produced in an environmentally friendly manner, without the use of AZO dyes, in accordance with the prohibition ordinance.
